Legal Aid

Supervasi provides year-round legal aid and free legal services to the tribals (Adivasis) of Yeoor, Maharashtra. We draft complaints, legal cases, documentation and paperwork free of cost, and even train tribal youth to provide such services to their community.

We have also been providing free legal aid and guidance to local tribal land tillers (Adivasi kuls) for making applications, obtaining legal documents and records, and initiating legal action, to obtain their traditional tilling rights at Yeoor.

PAN Card Distribution, August 2015

On 7th October, Supervasi conducted a PAN Card Distribution Ceremony at Yeoor, Maharashtra. We distributed over 150 PAN cards that were processed by the Supervasi team and our G1 Volunteers.

It was a day of true joy and selfless happiness for the 14 young G1 Volunteers as Corporator Shri. Mukesh Mokashi distributed over 150 PAN cards that were processed by them about 2 months ago, during the one week "Dakhale" camp. The joy on the faces of our beneficiaries was obvious and could not be hidden. Mr. Mokashi sponsored the government fees of Rs. 106 per application and provided identity letters to several beneficiaries.

Government fee for other certificates such as Income certificates (Rs. 90), Domicile certificates (Rs. 57) were paid for, processed and even home-delivered by the volunteers. Total expenses sponsored by Supervasi for the camp was above Rs. 55,000.

Documents Registration Camp, August 2015

Supervasi conducted a Free Documents Registration Camp in Yeoor for to help local tribals apply for and obtain vital legal IDs and documents such as PAN Card, Voter’s ID, Income Certificate. Over 500 tribal residents attended the camp between 3rd to 9th August 2015. We helped residents get their legal documents in order, and made applications for PAN cards, Aadhar cards and other such important identifications.

We used our DoctorMaa Software System to take down the data and photos. In-house software developed by Supervasi was used for documentation, taking photos and generating automatically filled Application Forms. Our tribal apprentices worked in data collection, form filling, application submission, follow-up and other areas.

After more than 2 weeks of hectic work, we are happy to announce that the camp was an outstanding success. We submitted over 150 PAN Card registrations, 200 Voter ID registrations, 80 Income Certificate registrations and 60 Age Domicile Certificate registrations.
